Habitrol patches can help you to stop smoking in as little as 9 to 12 weeks.  Each patch supplies your body with nicotine over a 24 hour period.  Habitrol Patches are a step down program that reduces your nicotine dose gradually, rather than stopping suddenly.

USAGE PROGRAM:

If you smoked more than 20 cigarettes per day,
Start with Habitrol Step 1 (21mg).  Use for 3 to 4 weeks.
Then use Habitrol Step 2 (14mg) for 3 to 4 weeks.
Then use Habitrol Step 3 (7mg) for 3 to 4 weeks.
Then stop use of Habitrol Patch.

If you smoked less than 20 cigarettes per day,
Start with Habitrol Step 2 (14mg).  Use for 6 to 8 weeks.
Then use Habitrol Step 3 (7mg) for 3 to 4 weeks.
Then stop use of Habitrol Patch.

COMBINATION THERAPY:
If you have relapsed in the past or you experience cravings while using nicotine patches, gum or lozenges on their own, you can combine the use of nicotine patches with 2mg nicotine gum, or 1mg nicotine lozenges.
